Mr. R Baskaran
Managing Director
Mr. R. Baskaran is a respected figure in India’s footwear and industrial machinery industry. Born in the heart of India’s shoemaking region, his early fascination with engineering and production machinery shaped a career dedicated to manufacturing excellence.
A qualified Mechanical Engineer, he gained hands-on expertise working with leading shoemaking companies, building deep technical knowledge of production workflows and machinery design.
In 1995, he founded P.R. Engineering, marking the beginning of his entrepreneurial journey and establishing his reputation as a trusted solutions provider.
Through extensive industry travel, exposure to global technologies, and decades of relationship-building, Mr. Baskaran has become a recognised authority in machinery selection, installation, and maintenance.
Today, as the Managing Director of CMI Machines Pvt. Ltd., he leads a dedicated team committed to delivering high-precision footwear machinery, advanced leather goods equipment, and comprehensive industrial solutions. His leadership philosophy centres on quality, reliability, and customer-first service — enabling manufacturers across India to achieve consistent, world-class production output.
